Dear Brethren,
Thank you for joining with us for the prayer needs of our ministry. We appreciate your intercession very much!
As Jonathan Edwards once said, "There is no way that Christians, in a private capacity, can do so much to promote the work of God and advance the kingdom of Christ as by prayer." All of us here at StreetCry are extremely grateful for your prayers and intercession on our behalf. They are making a big difference!
The Lord revealed that His desire is for us to bear more fruit this year. We have cried out for souls, and the Lord has heard this plea and His heart is to see more people come into His kingdom in the months ahead. He also showed us that many of us are tried from the battle, but that He has things prepared for us and that we cannot obtain these things in our own strength but need to surrender to Him and allow His Spirit to work through us. Only then will we be able to enter into all that He has for us. He has shown us many things over the past few months and we are excited as to what He has in store, if we hunger after Him and are faithful to pray and intercede to see these things come to pass.
We are about to enter into a new season, a summer of evangelism, and are thankful for your continued prayer support.
Here are our current prayer requests:
1. Summer Evangelism
Wisdom and favor with authorities and the ability to continue with oncerts at
metro stations and in parks where drug addicts and sub-culture youth will be
during the summer.
The preparation of new tracts, songs, dramas, newspapers, and other tools that
Lord can use to capture the hearts of young people and bring them to repentance
and a relationship with Him.
Harvest of souls with the fruit of real disciples of Christ. We are praying
for the harvest to include musicians, singers, artistic
individuals, and others who will sanctify there gifts for the advancement of
the Kingdom.
We will be having several teams and individuals joining us over the summer.
For unity of the teams and an ability to cross cultural and language barriers
and see lives changed through their preaching of the Gospel.
2. Bible School Students and Teachers
Anointed and inspired teachings that will prepare the students for what the
Lord has for them in the future and deepen a love for the Lord and His Word.
During the first part of June, the students and teachers are on an outreach
in Kazakhstan. Please pray for a harvest of souls from their outreach, unity
of the team, and that they could bring refreshment and encouragement to the
local churches and Christians that they will be working with.
The Bible school graduation was at the end of May. Pray for our graduates, that
the Lord will reveal His will to them for the next part of their lives and that
He places them in the Body where they can minister what has been deposited into
them over the last two years.
3. John and Sara Russell are currently in the US visting friends and
differnt churches and ministries. Please pray that they could receive good,
wise, and fruitful counsel and advice. That they would know exactly what to
do and when to do it, with the Lord's timing and leading in all they do. That
they would be able to finish all of the business and personal things that need
to be done.
4. Our ongoing prayer requests:
For larger facilities for our ministry base in the city. We need to know His
perfect timing and to be led by His Spirit to the place that He has for us.
We believe that the Lord can open the right doors and bring honest people for
us to work with.
For greater ability to abide in the Lord and be led by His Spirit, so that we
would be able to bring forth more fruit for His kingdom
For God's covering and protection of all aspects of the ministry and families
For our leadership team to have wisdom and understanding of God's mind in making
decisions. For love and unity to be perfected through Christ
For the Lord to draw more people into His kingdom through evangelism and to
make true disciples
For the Lord to meet all of our needs so that we would be able to do what the
Lord puts on our heart
For wisdom and ability to work in the office in the power of the Holy Spirit,
to reveal God's glory through the work we do; for creative ideas and vision
from the Lord, for the unity of the staff, for finishing projects on time and
for clear communications.
For spiritual growth of our children; for the children ministry to grow and
develop. For the children's workers to be filled with the inspiration from the
Lord so that He can reveal to them new ways to teach children His word. For
the Lord's wisdom for schooling of our children, as two them will be starting
school in September.
Possibility of expanding into Finland and other areas of Russia
For the translation and distribution of good books and teachings that will equip
and encourage the Body of Christ in Russia.
We really appreciate your prayers for us and ministry here in Russia. You are
a big part of everything that the Lord is doing here in reaching people for
His kingdom.
